Mar 07, 2021     12-2 empennage fairing step 2-4 Elevator Fairing - (20 hours)       Category: Tail Feathers
Trimmed elevator fairings. Inserted in elevator tip and matchdrilled. Installed aluminum band with epoxy to strengthen the structure (aluminum 0.025). Final drilled #30. Used flox to make smooth transition to the skins. work done over a full weekend. Sanded many times and added flox many times.
